Does it also support importing files from a local directory/an URL?

if you mean computing the pitch on sound files (local or downloaded), the answer is no... This Xtra is realtime on the sound input.
Of course, it would possible to write a file pitch Xtra, if you were interested. Wite me offlist if so.
