I've some problem with my realtek audio card (latest 2007 high definition driver from realtek). Using command

Is it correct? I'm exepecting a string.

From this laptop your Shockwave demo says: Unknown source

From the same (i suppose) dir file the error is: Error reading: Unknown

Is this soundcard not compatible? It seems strange, maybe i make some mistake.

indeed the realtek cards are really bad : they don't play the Windows Mixer API game normally. You can see on the web that the asFFT Xtra is not the only application that has problems with these soundcards.

There is no workaround for now, I'm sorry. I plan to look into this problem when I upgrade my Xtras to Director11 (soon hopefully...)
