Questions related to the MouseWheel Xtra
The real universal solution

Hello,

I was happy to find MouseWheel Xtra and want to thank you for doing it.

However I'm disappointed that it is still not the real solution to support mouse wheel under OS X, since it does not support the mighty mouse.

Is there any chance that you will find a workaround for that issue ?

Thank you.

Well, as I say in the faq, the mighty mouse does not play the standard mouse events game, strangely. So the issue is a matter of porting the Xtra to the API that the mighty mouse implements, which should not be too complex.
But right now I unfortunately don't have the resources to invest time in working on this...
If you have an idea to finance this R&D, it is welcome... ;-)

Hello,

I cannot afford the whole R&D alone. However I can sponsor a little bit of it, by paying the same price I would pay for a similar xtra.

Let's gather people willing to do the same and you'll get your finance.

How much do you need ?

This kind of deal is always a bit frustrating for everyone, and I've always avoided doing it.

I'm doing some investigation on how hard it is (and if it is really feasible). I'll be back...

Sounds great. Thank you very much. Is there a way to express more gratitude than few words ?

Don't worry. It was not so complex finally. I just tried something out and it worked right away...winking smiley
